New Pics in the Gallery

Two new sets of photos have been posted in the photo gallery. Check them out!

In early November, Cub Scouts from Pack 722 visited the seniors at the Dutton Center for an afternoon of fun. We played balloon volleyball and bean-bag toss with them, sang some campfire songs and served up a yummy snack. The bean-bag toss game was built by the Webelos Den in a recent den meeting. Yay for power tools! They also tried their hands at sewing while making the beanbags.

Also in November, the Tiger Den paid a visit to the Wakefield fire station. At our den meeting beforehand, we learned what makes a town into a community and had some hot chocolate to get us started! On our visit with the firefighters we talked about fire safety (and even got to practice stop-drop-and-roll!), inspected the trucks up close and saw all the "back room" operations that help keep our community safe.

You can see pictures from the Dutton Center and the Fire Station in our photo gallery.

Welcome, New Tigers!

Search, Discover, Share! That's the Tiger Cub motto, and we'll be doing just that in our Tiger Den this year. The Tiger Cub program is all about fun, family and friends, and we'll have a lot of fun as we begin the adventure of Cub Scouts.

Tiger Cubs is a family-oriented program where boys and their families begin the adventure of Scouting together. From month-to-month each family takes a turn planning the outing and den meeting, so there's always something new to do around the next corner.

Welcome to our Pack!

Tigers visit WCAT

The Tiger Cubs visited WCAT, the community access channel that serves the town of Wakefield. We took a tour of the facilities and learned about editing and show production. Then, it was into the studio for some camera time! We were filmed performing the two skits that we're doing for the next pack meeting, and soon we'll watch ourselves on DVD!

Tigers visit Breakheart

The Tigers had a great time at the Breakheart Reservation over February vacation, learning all about bats from one of the park rangers. The new facility is great. We're looking forward to our visit there in March to learn about maple sugaring!

Tigers Visit the Wild Oats Market

The Tiger Cub den visited the Wild Oats Market in Saugus, and had a great time. We started out with some fruit smoothies and some smooth yoga moves - then our host Marianne showed us around the store. We saw (and tasted!) some delicious carrots and juicy fruit, real natural peanut butter, chocolate soy milk, and some yummy lemon cookies. We learned about how good eating makes us healthy and strong, and we talked about yucky things like pesticides, herbicides and artificial fertilizers. After our tour we finished with a snack of apple juice and pizza and topped it off with some sweet treats!

You can see pictures from our visit here.
