The BIG EVENT: Pinewood Derby (All Dates and Times Below)
Welcome to that special time of year... A combination of creativity, craftsmanship, and friendly competition that makes the Pinewood Derby a highlight of the scouting experience! To assist both new and returning scouts and families, here are the key dates you need to be aware of:
Workshop (Optional): Success - Thankyou everyone Great time!!!
Pre-Race Day Car Workshop, help with final car prep and weight, no paint or cutting.
Date and Location: Wednesday, March 5th at the Wakefield Civic Center
Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Check-in Event (Mandatory):
Car Weigh-In and Registration. If you can't make check-in please make arrangements to have your car dropped off giving that person permission to make any necessary alterations needed to pass inspection.
Date and Location: Friday March 7th at the UMC 273 Vernon St, Wakefield
Check-in Times:
Lions: 6:00 - 6:20pm
Tigers: 6:20 - 6:40pm
Wolves: 6:40 - 7:00pm
Bears: 7:00 - 7:20pm
Webelos: 7:20 - 7:40pm
AOL: 7:40 - 8.00pm
Help Needed: Asking for one parent volunteer from each Den, you will be partnered up with a leader to help with track and race day setup. This is a fun time as we all pitch in. Please reply to this email if you can help out with meet and greet, track build, inspection, computer AV.
Race Day + Lunch Provided by the Church:
The racing kicks off at 9.30 am and wraps up by 1 or 2 pm, with winners and trophies announced at the end of each round. There will also be baked goods and hotdogs courtesy the UMC volunteers.

Join Us for a Fun and Educational Hands on Coin Collecting Event! The Stoneham Coin Club, an official ANA Coin Collecting Club, is excited to host a Coin Collecting Event designed specifically for Cub Scouts and BSA Scouts!

BSA Scouts (Grades 6-12): 6:45 PM – 8:00 PM

Explore the World of Coin Collecting with the Stoneham Coin Club!
Learn the basics of coin collecting and work towards your Adventures in Coins Elective.
We may provide some cool coins for each scout and prizes for participation. TBD
Fun activities like coin games, coin rubbings, and identifying different types of coins!

For BSA Scouts (Grades 6-12):
Work on the Coin Collecting Merit Badge (details to follow)
Dive deeper into coin collecting, understanding both US and foreign coins

Get ready for summertime adventures – Camp Carpenter! Nestled on the outskirts of Manchester, New Hampshire, Camp Carpenter offers a 250-acre wooded escape, serving as the Daniel Webster Council's Cub Scout Summer Camp and the home of Granite Base Camp.
Date: Sunday, July 6th to Thursday, July 10 (Stay tuned for additional information in upcoming newsletters and Info zoom meeting)
Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Activities: Archery, arts and crafts, BB gun shooting sports, field sports, nature exploration, STEM skills, Fort Friendship, Pirates Cove, and Swimming!
