Pack 722 is again walking in the 4th of July parade. If you haven't been to the parade before, it is amazingly fun. Being in a parade is a requirement for some scout ranks and will count as a July activity toward your Summer Pack award.

Basic info below, but more details are here and in future emails

Dress Code:

  • Class A uniforms. Generally, it's hot so dress for the weather.

What to bring:

  • Sunscreen

  • Water

  • Maybe a snack

  • Wear your scout hat if you have one

  • Good walking shoes

When:

  • You should plan to come around 3:00 PM to catch the shuttle to the top of the lake. Sometimes these can take a little while to show up. Alternatively, you can walk up North Ave. You may want to come earlier to make sure you can park at MG Fitness or the Galvin.

Flag Placing

Flag Placing at Lakeside Cemetery

A quick reminder that tomorrow at 3:00pm, Pack 722 will be placing flags at grave sites in Lakeside Cemetery on North Ave.

Be sure to wear your Class A uniform and bring a large, long screwdriver to create a hole for the flag pole.

The scouts have a great time helping out with this every year and it only takes an hour.

Pack Crossover, Friday

Hi - Quick reminder for tomorrow night.  Pack Meeting, Advancement and Cupcakes!

Pack Crossover .  This is always an exciting evening as we recognize the scouts for their year of working on adventure requirements, culminating in earning that next rank and progressing along the scouting path.  Scouts wear Class A uniforms.

The plan is to run this evening of scout recognition outside in the parking lot (weather permitting) and there will be cupcakes.

United Methodist Church

Friday, May 19th at 6.30p.m

We could use help with the setup of chairs.  If any parents/scouts would like to get there 10-15 mins in advance, please reach out to Matt Theisen.

Information about the Ecotarium Trip (w. attachment)

Hi All,

As we are getting closer to April 28th, I want to share some additional information about the Ecotarium trip for those attending.  Attached is a full listing of FAQ provided by the museum, but I'm including some highlights below.  Please review and feel free to reach out to Michael Lew if you have any questions.

  • The EcoTarium is located at 222 Harrington Way in Worcester, which is about 60 minutes from Wakefield with no traffic.  I'm guessing it's 90+ min from Wakefield in traffic on a Friday afternoon.
  • Arrival time is 5:15-6:30.  However, you should aim to be there as close to 5:30 as possible as programming starts promptly at 6:30 and we need to eat dinner before then.
  • We will be serving pizza for everyone for dinner on the evening of the 28th.  Planning to have it delivered to the Ecotarium at 5:30 or so.
  • The Ecotarium is still strict with their COVID policies and while masks are not required, everyone will be required to test prior to entering the museum.  If you test positive you will not be allowed to attend the overnight, so I recommend testing in advance before you leave your house to prevent having to turn around after you've arrived in Worcester.
  • Bedtime varies, but is between 10:30 and 11:00.

Thanks

On behalf of Michael, Pack 722 Committee

Friday Pack Meeting!

Hi Scouts,

I wanted to send out a quick reminder that we have our pack meeting this Friday, April 14th at 6:30pm at the United Methodist Church (273 Vernon St).  Of course, this is for all those not going to the Mystic Aquarium Sleepover.  It will be a fun one. It is our take apart night. If you have any old toys, small appliances, or electronics that you don't want anymore and would like to donate to help us learn what is inside please bring them in this Friday. Please, do not bring anything with fluids inside like oils or water.  A good example would be small engines or toys with water inside.  We will be doing this in the church main hall and would like to complete the cleanup to a minimum.  Also please bring in tools if you have them such as screwdrivers and pliers and please label them so that you can find them at the end of the night.

One last reminder, if you would like to go to the Project Linus event put on by the United Methodist Church please see information below
