Wednesday, March 4 at 6:00 PM Optional Car Workshop
This is for final car prep and weight adjustments. No painting or cutting will be allowed. Please see the newsletter for full details.
Friday, March 6 – Check-In Night (Mandatory)
If you can't make check-in please make arrangements to have your car dropped off giving that person permission to make any necessary alterations needed to pass inspection.
Lions: 6:00 – 6:20 PM
Tigers: 6:20 – 6:40 PM
Wolves: 6:40 – 7:00 PM
Bears: 7:00 – 7:20 PM
Webelos: 7:20 – 7:40 PM

Lions: 9:30 – 10:00 AM

Volunteers Needed
We could use a few extra hands Friday and Saturday, especially for setup/breakdown. Tasks include decorating, moving tables, track setup, and general support. It's easy work and very helpful to our team. Friday volunteers even get pizza. If you're available to help, please let your Den leader know

Welcome to that special time of year... A combination of creativity, craftsmanship, and friendly competition that makes the Pinewood Derby a highlight of the scouting experience! To assist both new and returning scouts and families, here are the key dates you need to be aware of:

Workshop (Optional):
Pre-Race Day Car Workshop, help with final car prep and weight, no paint or cutting.
Date and Location: Wednesday, March 4th at the UMC 273 Vernon St, Wakefield
Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Help Needed: Asking for one parent volunteer from each Den, you will be partnered up with a leader to help with track and race day setup. This is a fun time as we all pitch in. Please reply to this email if you can help out with meet and greet, track build, inspection, computer AV.
Race Day + Lunch Provided by the Church:
The racing kicks off at 9.30 am and wraps up by 1 or 2 pm, with winners and trophies announced at the end of each round. There will also be baked goods and hotdogs courtesy the UMC volunteers.
