Hello Pack 722 Families,

Still thinking about what to do this 4th of July?

Come celebrate our nation's 250th birthday in style by joining Pack 722 as we march in the Wakefield 4th of July Parade! This year's parade is expected to be one of the biggest the town has ever seen, and we'd love to have our Scouts and families be part of it.

Whether you've marched before or this will be your first time, it's always a fun experience. Scouts get to show their pride in Scouting, wave to friends and neighbors, and be part of a community tradition.

Please take a moment to sign up and let us know you'll be joining us.

Pack 722 is excited to participate in the 4th of July parade. If you haven't been to the parade before, it is amazingly fun. Being in a parade is a requirement for some scout ranks and will count as a July activity toward your Summertime Fun adventure loop.

Date: July 4th, 3pm

Location: Galvin Middle School

Dress: Class A Uniform and Hat if you have one. Generally, it is hot so dress for the weather.

What to bring:

  • Sunscreen

  • Water

  • Maybe a snack

  • Good walking shoes

  • Optional: Wagon(s) to pull behind the group. This is handy for carrying water, rain gear, etc., and can be decorated with flags or ribbons.

  • A ball, frisbee, or other item to pass the time while Scouts wait to be called to march by staff
