Hi Pack 722 Families,

Below is our June newsletter. A few key things:

Spring Campout this weekend (June 6–7): We still have plenty of room for families to join us in Milton for either the day or overnight. The pack will provide dinner with disposable plates and utensils, but if you have a mess kit please bring it to help reduce waste.

Georges Island Trip (June 27): While all 50 free ferry passes have been claimed, the trip remains open to all Pack families & scouts. Additional tickets can be purchased directly through the Boston Harbor Island Ferry. Please see the details and links below.

A weekend of adventure awaits us at New England Base Camp in Milton, MA! Get ready for exciting program activities like Archery, BB Gun Range, Rock Climbing, and more!

June Event - Georges Island in Boston Harbor

June 27th at ~9.20am to 4.00pm

Join Cub Scout Pack 722 for an exciting island adventure to Georges Island, part of the Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park! This trip combines a scenic ferry ride with history, exploration, and plenty of space for scouts and families to learn, play, and enjoy the outdoors together.

Georges Island is home to historic Fort Warren, wide walking paths, picnic areas, open fields, and incredible views of Boston Harbor. It’s a fantastic, family-friendly destination for scouts of all ages.


Date, Time, and Meetup Details

  • Date: Saturday, June 27

  • Time: Approximately 9:20 AM to 4:00 PM

  • Meeting Location: Long Wharf North, Boston (near the Harbor Islands Ferry Center / ticket booth)

What to Bring

  • Packed lunch and snacks

  • Water bottle

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • Sunscreen and hat, Small backpack

  • Flashlight for exploring darker areas inside Fort Warren

Marching in the Wakefield 4th of July Parade 

July 4th, 3pm

Pack 722 is excited to participate in the 4th of July parade. If you haven't been to the parade before, it is amazingly fun. Being in a parade is a requirement for some scout ranks and will count as a July activity toward your Summertime Fun adventure loop. 


Date: July 4th, 3pm

Location: Galvin Middle School, Pack 722 Parade Map & info here 

Dress: Class A Uniform and Hat if you have one. Generally, it is hot so dress for the weather.

What to bring: 

  • Sunscreen

  • Water

  • Maybe a snack

  • Good walking shoes

  • Optional: Wagon(s) to pull behind the group. This is handy for carrying water, rain gear, etc., and can be decorated with flags or ribbons.

  • A ball, frisbee, or other item to pass the time while Scouts wait to be called to march by staff

Camp Carpenter Sleep Away Camp
July 12th to July 16th

Get ready for summertime adventures – Camp Carpenter! Nestled on the outskirts of Manchester, New Hampshire, Camp Carpenter offers a 250-acre wooded escape, serving as the Daniel Webster Council’s Cub Scout Summer Camp and the home of Granite Base Camp.

Save the Date: July 12th to July 16th 2026 (Stay tuned for additional information in upcoming newsletters)

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire

Activities: Archery, arts and crafts, BB gun shooting sports, field sports, nature exploration, scout skills,  Fort Friendship, Pirates Cove, and the Indian Village.
