Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to Scouters everywhere!
Pack 722 receive a nice Thank You letter from the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry for our donation of homemade Christmas crackers.
I think the scouts really enjoy making the crackers which are an excellent community service project.
Dear, Scouts
Thank you for the donation of Christmas crackers in support of the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry.
Since 1982 the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry has worked to extend a helping hand to our neighbors in need. WIFP is a volunteer-driven organization generously supported by our local community.
In October we distributed over 20,000 pounds of groceries during 462 visits serving 922 of our Wakefield neighbors. We couldn't have done it without you!

The scouts will be doing skits, sing a few songs and help entertain the clients at the Center. We expect to wrap things up around 11:30am. Parking is available on Main St, or next door at Most Blessed Sacrament.

Our next Pack Meeting is WEDNESDAY, November 18 at 6:30pm. Our opening activity will be making holiday crackers, which will donated to the Wakefield Food Pantry. If you haven't already, please save as many cardboard rolls from your paper towels and toilets paper rolls.

The popcorn order has been officially place and we expect delivery of the product next Friday afternoon, November, 13. Once it has been sorted, your Den Leaders will coordinate delivery to their dens over the weekend.

Our Kernel will be announcing which scouts were the top sellers in each den. Those winners will have the chance to pie a willing adult of their choice at the December Pack Meeting/Pot Luck dinner.

To date we have 5 scouts who have sold over $500.00 worth of popcorn each and have been entered into the weekly drawing. If you hit the $500.00 mark don't to forget to contact our Popcorn Kernel so you can be entered as well.

There are slots still available for or second Show & Sell, Saturday, October 17 outside Honey Dew Donuts by the Head of the Lake from 11am to 3pm. Scouts who attend the Show & Sells get credit for sales made and can add that to their popcorn totals.

Happy October! Keep those Popcorn Sales going!
This weekend, October 10, is our annual Fall Camping Trip to Sudden Pond in Harold Parker State Forest in North Andover. Even if you cannot spend the night, please show up and have fun with the Pack. There will be fishing, canoeing, hiking and other Den sponsored activities (see your Den Leader).

The weather looks good, but pack for cool weather.

If you're using GPS or an App like WAZE, use: SUDDEN POND FIRE ROAD, NORTH READING, MA to located the site.

Old School Directions: Take Haverhill Street towards North Reading. At the lights in North Reading Center, continue straight on Haverhill St for 1 1/5 miles. At flashing Yellow light turn Right onto Marblehead Street. Travel another 1 1/2 miles and turn Left onto Salem St. The entrance to the camping area will be on your right-hand side, approximately 1000 feet up the street, after a green colored house. If you go past the horse stables on the right, you've gone too far. Look for the Pack Banner to be outside the gate. Follow the road in, for roughly 1/4 mile and we'll be on the right.

The Pack will provide Water, Paper Towels Dishes and Eating utensils
Tent – Pack has a few available to borrow.
Sleeping Bag

Mattress pad - air or foam
Bring extra clothing to match the weather
Multiple layers are better than a single massive jacket, because layered clothing is adaptable to a wide range of temperatures.
Extra Socks (WOOL)
Close-toed shoes, hiking boots are good
Flashlight, preferably headlamp
Chairs for Campfire
Rain gear – jacket and pants
Personal First-Aid Kit
Insect repellent

Musical Instrument
Repair kit
Fishing gear
Guide Books
Animal, Plant keys, Geology, Stars, Etc
Pocketknife or Multitool – if Scout has earned Whittling Chip

Today was Back to School Day, which means that it's time to kick off our 2015-2016 Scouting year! For all returning scouts and for boys looking to join, our annual Fall Round Up is this Thursday, September 10 at 6:30pm in the dining hall of First Parish Congregational Church.
Rumor has it that there's some sort of BIG Game that night. Don't worry, this isn't a formal meeting, just a chance for you to stop by and say that you will be returning and too see what's new for this year.

Our current, short-term calendar looks like this:
September 10: Fall Round Up - FPCC 6:30pm
September 24: Pack Meeting - FPCC 6:30pm
October 3: Pop Corn Show & Sell downtown
October 10-11: Fall Camping Trip - Sudden Pond/Harold Parker
October 22: Pack Meeting - FPCC 6:30pm

Popcorn sales forms where mailed out to previously registered scouts over the Summer by Trails End. We will have more at the meetings in case you did not receive one or misplaced it.
